Traders fight
Parking Charges
Northumberland Heath Village Traders
are currently fighting with Bexley Council over the increase
of charges in the car park. One trader said something has to
be done, we are trying to attract customers not scare them
away. |
Northumberland
Heath was then and is now the heart of the local community.
With over 80 businesses along Bexley Rd, Traders have the
capability of tending to almost every need shoppers may
have. In fact one of our bigger retailers (Wellingtons) has
been here since the early days, established in 1892 and
still going strong. The survival of Northumberland Heath
depends on both the Traders and the Community as a whole.

Heath has CCTV
The Traders Association in
conjunction with the Police, Community forum and local
Councillors have secured
our first Council operated CCTV camera on the Heath. This
first camera covers the majority of the Heath with the very
few blind spots being look at by the Council. |
