The story of Thumber
|
Mr Thumberland Heath, known as Thumber to his
friends, was born 20 years ago on Muffin Island, near the
North pole. Thumber is a Polarpix, a very distant relative
of the polar bear family .
Thumber’s island was in trouble of disappearing because it
was melting due to all the problems with global warming.
Thumber was found by a team of explorers who took him
home to look after and care for him. He enjoyed all sorts of
things like fishing for his dinner and flying his kite with
all his friends. He also liked making up stories for his
story book. |

Thumber likes to eat fish and vegetables. He says fish is
important because it helps you to learn and vegetables are
important because they keep you healthy.
Thumber loves music and dancing and likes to watch
cartoons, but not too much television because it makes his
eye’s go all funny.
Thumber really hates bullying and says if anyone is
bullying you, you must tell some one about it. You can even
tell him if you want, by going on his website. Thumber also
hates smoking, he thinks it smells and he knows it’s not
good for you. |
|
Thumber has decided to go on an adventure to let all the
children know about how they can look after their
environment and live
together happily. Thumber was so surprised and happy to find
somewhere that sounded like his name, that he just had to
come and live here in Northumberland
Heath. |

 |
Thumber wants top get to know all the children in the area
and would like them to join his club, the Thumber Club.
Members of the club will get birthday cards and Christmas
cards from Thumber,
invites to his parties, discount vouchers for theme parks
and the
cinema, plus lots more.
Above all, Thumber is your friend, your friend for ever. |
